Good Time is a 2017 American crime thriller film directed by Josh and Benny Safdie and written by Josh Safdie and Ronald Bronstein.It stars Robert Pattinson as a bank robber who attempts to free his developmentally disabled brother (Benny Safdie) from police custody after he ends up in the hospital. While he often looked outward to capture the spirit and energy of his hometown New York in his films, one of his best works was motivated by a desire to recreate his unusual childhood that also likely shaped his future career path. A favorite on the independent film festival circuit, Safdie wrote and directed one of 2010's most buzzed about feature films, "Daddy Longlegs," a fictionalized portrait of his real-life father. The result was an honest, smart, and stylistic movie that was technically flawless and also introduced the film industry to one of its newest and most original voices.
