Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is a rare form of deep venous thrombosis (DVT), yet a leading cause of stroke in young adults, with an incidence that seems to be increasing in recent years. We performed a systematic review to summarise the published experience of DOAC therapy in CVT. We report an adult female patient who presented with chronic mastoiditis complicated by LST and venous infarct, documented by computerised tomography and magnetic resonance venography.
